障害、病気、国籍、人種、性別。

世の中には多くの社会的マイノリティの人が存在していることがわかります。

それらは目に見えるものもあれば、外からははっきりと見えない心の状態であることもあります。

私自身高校から海外に出て、色々なバックグラウンドを持った人たちと出会い、世界には様々な社会的マイノリティの人が存在していることを知りました。

そして、20歳を過ぎて自分に立ち返った時、私自身も社会マイノリティであることを自覚しました。

私にとってはそれがたまたま、ジェンダーでした。

心と体のギャップを抱える中で自分自身と向き合い、そんな自分を受け入れるプロセスを通して、他のマイノリティの人たちを理解し、寄り添うことができるようになりました。

社会の当たり前と自分の中にあるオリジナリティの狭間で葛藤し、悩んでいる人たちが、自分らしさに自信を持って社会に出られるようにしたい。

そして、そんな人たちを温かく受け入れる社会にしていきたい。

誰もが社会から離れて自分に立ち返った時、自分がマイノリティであるということに気づくかもしれません。

みんなが社会の枠組みから抜け出して、「自分らしさ」を受け入れ、表現できる世界へ。

Disability, illness, nationality, race, gender, and more — there are many different kinds of minorities in our society.
Some are visible, while others stay hidden inside.

When I was 16, I left Japan for the first time and ended up living in New Zealand, the US, and Australia. While I was there, I met people from many different backgrounds. Through those experiences, I came to understand just how many people in the world live as minorities.

In my early twenties, I started looking inward and realized that I was also part of that minority. For me, it was about gender.

Facing the gap between what others expect and how I want to live has helped me accept who I really am — and connect with others who feel the same.

I want to support people who feel stuck between society’s expectations and their own sense of self — those trying to move forward.
I hope that they can step into the world with confidence in who they are. 

When we step back from the roles and rules society gives us, we start to see that we all have some kind of “minority” within us.

Imagine if we could all just be ourselves, without the pressure to fit into anything.
